men-tallyaware was founded to provide information and vital attention to men's mental health, services and treatment, especially for minorities. Our mission is to provide a safe, educational, encouraging and motivational space for men to talk about, learn, seek and own their mental health and hygiene.
Driven by the experiences and those having access to mental health services, we strive to reach and build a community of men, including low-income and minority, to allow them to gain knowledge and access to services and start their healing processes.
The goal, through education and awareness, is to break the silence, amongst men, who not only need but also want to support the availability of mental health services. Imagine a group of men, standing together who now know the importance of their mental health. Finally doing away with the stronghold the stigma has on so many of our men in every corner of the world. We can start doing this by using the hashtag #men_tallyaware.
We tried to keep it one name for everything but hashtags and website names don't always get along. Website names don't allow for an underscore before the .com, so that is why it is men-tallyaware.com, with a dash instead of an underscore. Hashtags don't allow for a dash to separate words, so that is why it is #men_tallyaware with an underscore instead of dash. Show your support for men practicing good mental health and hygiene by using the hashtag #men_tallyaware.
It is my sincere hope that through men-tallyaware.com, men can learn to talk with one another, talk to a friend, talk to a trained professional, lend a helping hand to one another and to seek assistance at the first hint of not feeling like themselves. To get men to a point where they believe and proclaim that there is no stigma, stereotype, shame or weakness in seeking and practicing good mental health and hygiene.
